Autumn Breeze Newsletter
January 2010
Another year has come and gone, hunting season is behind us and the Holidays are over. It is time to review the past year and look ahead to 2010.
It was a year that was challenging to say the least as we all know how the economy has affected everyone. Despite that ABK did have a memorable year. Myself and Pia tested dogs in the Versatile Hunting Dog Federation and received the highest score on record for the Performance Evaluation test (the two highest scoring dogs have been trained and tested by ABK) and several others scored very well. The test records are listed on their web site http://www.vhdf.org. I ran two dogs in the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association's Invitational and passed one. The reports I have gotten back from the owners who had their dogs in for training and had the opportunity to hunt them have been very positive. This is very rewarding to for us to hear at ABK.
The response we received from the Pheasant Fest in Madison, Wisconsin last February was excellent again. I would like to invite you to visit our booth in DesMoines Iowa at this year's Pheasant Fest February 27-28-28, 2010.
Please take a few minutes to visit the Kennel Web Site if you have not been there lately. It is being update periodically. One of the new features I have added is PayPal so clients may pay for services and goods on line. Other points of interest are hand crafted decorations I make. I'm also a distributor for the best made dog crate on the market manufactured by Ruff Tough Kennels-check it out. They are also featured on my web site.
ABK has partnered up with studio 2300 Photography by Ted Wentink (www.studio2300.net) When you visit his site, go to galleries and click on Autumn Breeze Kennel. Ted is at the kennel quite often taking pictures so if you choose to have a portrait done of your dog, you or families please contact him.
Again, Dakota Web Creations ( Tony Nickles) has done an outstanding job with my web site. If you know of anyone who is in need of a website, please contact him.
I will be whelping a litter of GSP pups mid May all info is listed on the web site. If you or anyone you know is interested, please have them contact me. I do require a deposit to reserve a pup and i have received deposits on those pups already.
Do to the challenges I have faced in the past few years I have to make changes to my operating procedures. I will be having a signed contract for all clients with payment in full when training begins. Balances due for birds and miscellaneous will be paid in full when dog is picked up. I will have set hours for drop off and pick up and only scheduled appointments for visiting. Sundays will be my personal day to do as I see fit. There will be staff at the kennel that can assist all clients during set hours.
As we look back on 2009 I share many fond memories and accomplishments. Only the anticipation of new and renewed relationships can outweigh those memories. I thank you for everything past, present, and future.
Sincerely,
