Autumn Breeze Newsletter

January 2009

Another year has come and gone, hunting season is behind us and the Holidays are over. It's time to review the past outstanding year and look ahead to 2009.

It was a good year in many ways. For example, I had the opportunity to not only help several customers find puppies, but also train most of them as well. The reports I received from these puppy owners as well as the clients who had their dogs in for training, are consistent. They all had an outstanding hunting season this fall. It's very rewarding for me to hear about each dog's accomplishments. They create most memorable hunting experiences.

The addition of Pia Castelline to staff as a full time trainer was another significant benefit in 2008. With her help, we completed the year with some very good test scores from the VHDF, NAVHDA and the Deutsch Drathaar testing venues. We look forward to her return in 2009.

We also had an excellent response to our booth at the National Pheasants Forever Pheasant Fest in St.Paul last January. Because it was such a good experience, there will be an Autumn Breeze Kennel booth again this year. I would like to invite everyone to visit our booth at the National Pheasants Forever Pheasant Fest in Madison Wisconsin this February 6-7-8, 2009.

If you are considering training in the upcoming year please contact me to discuss potential dates. Winter is the best time to get the trained retrieve completed and/or clean up any retrieving issues you may have. Also, if you plan to participate in a VHDF test, NAVHDA test, or AKC 2009 test, send your test entries in early. They do fill up fast. Unfortunately, due to the economic times and rising costs, I have had to raise training rates to cover operational costs.

Please take a few minutes and visit the kennel web site (www.abkvc.com). There have been several improvements made that I know you will like. Any feedback regarding these changes would be very much appreciated. Please let me know. With you feedback we will continue making right decisions for future updates. Dakota Web Creations (Tony Nickles) has done a very outstanding job of building and maintaining the site. We appreciate his efforts.

I will be whelping a litter of GSP pups mid March. If you or anyone you know is interested, please contact me. We do request a deposit to be added to the list. If you are interested in another versatile breed, I can help you research a breeder as well.

As we look back on 2008, I share many fond memories and accomplishments. Only the anticipation of new and renewed relationships can outweigh those memories. I thank you for everything, past, present, and future.

Sincerely,
