Hunting Dog Training

Autumn Breeze Kennels specializes in upland bird dog training programs for Pointing Dogs. These programs are custom designed to fit your hunting dog’s abilities, previous training received and specific needs on an individual basis.



Puppy Program

Blizzard, a German Shorthair Pointer, at 6 weeks of age retrieving a pigeon

This hunting dog training program is a 3-5 week program for puppies 4-9 months old, and includes initial introduction to upland birds and gunfire. This will help determine your pup's potential upland bird hunting skills.



Basic Obedience

Doc, a German Wirehaired Pointer, at 5 months of age on point

This program is for hunting dogs at least 5 months old. The 4-week program includes on leash commands and whoa training. The 8-week program includes on/off leash commands, whoa training and whistle commands.



Started Dogs

Spike is a 2 year old German Shorthair Pointer

This upland bird dog training session is a 12-week program that includes items in basic obedience, upland bird retrieving, pointing and water work. This will sharpen the natural instincts your dog already has.



Advanced Training

Max is a fully trained hunting dog and was trained by Ed Erickson of Autumn Breeze Kennel

This advanced hunting dog training program includes steady to wing and shot, trained retrieve, advanced obedience control and water work.

This is for dogs with 10 weeks to advanced levels of training.
